Our company a brief history of
SHERWOOD ENTERTAINMENTS
Owned and operated by PAUL SHERWOOD
Originally from York, Paul has been entertaining audiences since the age of 16 as a Disc Jockey.
He went on to become a Butlins Redcoat learning all aspects of the entertainments industry in the two years of wearing the famous Red Coat.
With a yearning to work further a field he progressed to work in Yugoslavia for Yugotours completing three summer seasons and two winter ski seasons entertaining British holiday makers, winning many awards along the way.
Returning to work in the UK Paul completed summer seasons in Brixham Devon, as Entertainments Manager on a holiday park before moving on to work aboard Brittany Ferries.
During the winter months Paul continued 'on the road' with his mobile disco working all over the UK, Weddings, Corporate Events, Christmas Balls, Birthday Parties, Kiddies Parties and even finding time to complete tours of British Military bases entertaining troops all across Germany. Once again back in the UK he went on to work in one of Britain's most popular holiday resorts, Newquay. Paul completed in total, eight successful summer seasons in Newquay, Cornwall as Entertainments Manager on various holiday centre's such as 'Hendra' and Newquay Tourist Parks' comprising of Compère, DJ, Kids Entertainer as well as lots of other duties, appearing in front of audiences of up to 1500 guests each evening, working along side up to 11 different cabaret shows each week.
